A Whimsical Spring Wedding

When I walked into this wedding I stood for a moment and soaked in all of the color. I sent Nick a text and told him that their wedding decor was hitting all of my aesthetic preferences.

Then I walked into the bridal suite, saw her dress and her bridesmaid's dresses... and knew I would be taking too many detail photos. Look at her beautiful floral embroidered gown. It was so her. The floral bridesmaid dresses went so well with the wedding theme, and the flower girl's dress complimented it all perfectly.

Now. Back to the reception decor. Did you notice that cake in the first few photos? The show-stopping cake surrounded by florals? Her mother made it. She makes cakes professionally (obviously, I mean look at it) and really out did herself with her daughter's. I can't imagine the pressure she felt, but she nailed it.

Did my allergies take a hit from all of the spring flowers? Maybe. Was it worth it? Absolutely. Just look at this bouquet. Please know, that if I ever get married, I'm handing these photos to my florist and copying this with zero shame.

Their outdoor ceremony had perfect early spring weather - and it sort of felt like we were on the coast with the sunshine and a cool breeze.

Michael, the groom, is an artist - and I loved the little paintbrushes that were added to his boutonniere and the groomsmen's. This couple really took the time to incorporate parts of each of their personalities into their day - and nothing felt generic.

Their venue, Hidden Hill Events Venue, was the perfect place for their celebration. It felt like we were hovering above the city below us - and from the time I got there until I left that night the views were beautiful.
